Goddess Cardea
This protectress of families and children was a consort of the
Janus, the two-faced Roman God who can see beginnings and ends
and watches over doorways. Through her association with Janus,
Cardea was given guardianship of door-hinges and the power to
keep evil spirits out of homes.

Golden
Bracelet of Samsara
Samsara refers to the beginningless cycle of repeated birth,
mundane existence, and death. The Buddhists say if one were
to practice Dharma diligently he would ultimately reach enlightenment
and an end to this cyclical suffering.
Companies will offer “golden handcuffs,” that is, special financial
gains and benefits to desired employees in order keep them in
the company. “Golden bracelet” is a play on that term. “Handcuff”
has an imprisonment connotation whereas “bracelet” evokes the
idea of jewelry.
We tend to think that life is all we have so we should make
the most of it while we are alive. The endless loop, a symbolic
samsara, jiggles as we attempt to break out. But the gold sheen
continues to seduce us, so we remain trapped in this endless
cycle.

輪廻の黄金のブレスレット
輪廻とは、繰り返される誕生、地上な生活、そして死の、始まりのないサイクルを指します。仏教徒は、もし仏教を熱心に実践すれば、彼は最終的に悟りに達し、この周期的な苦しみを終わらせるだろうと言います。
