Introduction: Red Yellow Blue

Red, yellow and blue are primary colors. They are displayed equidistant among the 12 colors of a color wheel. Artists have used their distinctive qualities to represent the Holy Trinity. Blue, used to symbolize heaven, creation, stability and peace, is attributed to God, the Father. Red, the symbol of blood shed for salvation, divine love, and royalty, is attributed to God, the Son. And yellow (or gold), used to symbolize, light, guidance, and illumination, is attributed to the Holy Ghost.

The vibrancy of these colors, when placed next to each other, can be overwhelming if they are not properly balanced. This painting series, Red, Yellow, Blue (acrylic on raw canvas), attempts to capture rhythm, movement and a sense of depth. One primary color is used as the ground* while the other two serve as accents against the ground. Black is used to add rhythm and breaks in the movement.

Note: It is very difficult to photograph Red. The camera turns the bluish red into crimson. If I adjust the Kelvin for a cooler image, the yellow turns greenish.

赤、黄、青は三原色です。色相環において、12色の中で等間隔に配置されています。芸術家たちは、これらの色の特徴を用いて三位一体を表現してきました。天、創造、安定、平和を象徴する青は、父なる神に、救済のために流された血、神の愛、王権を象徴する赤は、子なる神に、そして光、導き、啓示を象徴する黄色（または金色）は、聖霊にそれぞれ帰せられます。

これらの色は、隣り合わせに配置すると、バランスが取れていないと、その鮮やかさが圧倒的なものになってしまうことがあります。この絵画シリーズ「赤、黄、青」（未加工キャンバスにアクリル絵具）は、リズム、動き、そして奥行き感を捉えようと試みています。 一つの原色はグラウンド*として機能し、他の2つはグラウンドに対するアクセントとして機能します。 黒は、リズム感と動きの区切りを加えるために用いられています。

注：赤を撮影するのは非常に困難です。 カメラは青みがかった赤を深紅色に変えます。 ケルビンを調整してより涼しい画像にすると、黄色が緑がかった色に変わります。
