Mountain Zebra 38.0 x 45.5 cm. (14.9 x 17.9in.) The mountain zebra, or Hartmann’s mountain zebra, is one of two subspecies; the other is the Cape mountain zebra. The Hartmann’s mountain zebra has bold stripes over its whole body except for the belly. It prefers mountainous terrain but will inhabit mountain slopes and open grasslands.
