St. Vedast (Alias Foster)

Partially damaged in the Great Fire (1666), restored by Sir Christopher Wren (1672), gutted by firebombs in the London Blitz, and reconstructed in 1962, this church is noted for its baroque steeple.

St. Vedast, known as St. Foster in England, was an early bishop in the Frankish realm. He aided in the conversion of Frankish king Clovis in 496.
