St.
Magnus, the Martyr
Dedicated
to St. Magnus, the Earl of Orkney, this church was the first to be
destroyed in the Great Fire of London. It was rebuilt in 1676 and
suffered minor damage in the Blitz of WWII.
The rocky area around Magnus'grave miraculously became a green field.
Other miraculous happenings and hearings were also reported around
his grave; he became known as a healer. |
